What is H-1B?

🧨 The H-1B Sponsorship Scam – What Americans Need to Know (2025 Update)

Back in 2018, I warned people about shady H-1B consulting companies charging fees for sponsorship. It’s now 2025, and the scam has only gotten worse and more expensive.

These body shops—mostly run by Indian-origin firms in the U.S.—are now charging ₹600,000 INR (about $7,000 USD) for a single H-1B visa sponsorship. That’s right, candidates are paying to work—which is 100% illegal under U.S. immigration law.

🚨 What the H-1B Program Is Supposed to Be:

The H-1B visa is meant to let U.S. companies hire foreign talent when no suitable American worker is available. The employer is supposed to cover all costs.

It was designed to fill skill gaps, not to be sold to the highest bidder.

💸 What It’s Become:

Due to high demand from job seekers in India, many consulting companies have turned this into a cash-grab business model.

Here’s how it works:

  • Desperate candidates (often F-1 OPT/CPT or others) pay $6,000–$10,000 to get their H-1B filed.

  • If the candidate doesn’t get picked in the lottery, they might get partial refunds (after the company deducts legal fees).

  • If they do get picked, they’re often underpaid, bench-waited, or exploited.

It’s a pay-to-play scheme dressed up as a job offer.

🧠 What You Should Know (Americans & Immigrants Alike):

  • Paying or collecting H-1B fees is a federal crime.

  • Most legit U.S. employers never ask for a dime from the candidate.

  • These shady consultancies prey on dreamers who are willing to do whatever it takes to work in the U.S.

  • It also hurts American STEM grads who are getting boxed out of fair job competition.

🧼 The Right Way:

If you truly have in-demand skills, real employers will hire you and sponsor your H-1B at no cost to you.

Avoid these scams. Report them. And if you’re caught in one, gather proof and speak up.

✊ Help Us Clean This Up:

We estimate that over 90% of these shady H-1B shops and family-run consultancies (on both sides of the ocean) are charging candidates illegally.

If you know someone charging or collecting H-1B fees, report it.
And yes, both paying and accepting money for H-1B is a violation of USCIS rules.

📢 Let’s expose them. Drop proof.
Let’s protect both U.S. workers and honest immigrants.

🧵 H-1B Sponsorship Scam – 2025 Update

Back in 2018, I warned folks about shady H-1B consultancies charging fees to sponsor visas.
It’s now 2025, and the scam has gotten worse. Here’s what Americans & immigrants need to know:

Tweet 2:
💸 Some “consulting companies” are now charging ₹600,000 INR (~$7,000 USD) just to file your H-1B.
Yes—you PAY to work.

This is 100% illegal under U.S. immigration law. The employer is supposed to pay the H-1B costs, not the worker.

Tweet 3:
🔍 How it works:

  • Candidate pays $6K–$10K upfront

  • Visa gets filed

  • If not picked in lottery: partial refund (maybe)

  • If picked: you’re often underpaid or benched for months
    It’s a pay-to-play system disguised as a job offer.

Tweet 4:
🇺🇸 What the H-1B was supposed to be:
A way for U.S. companies to hire skilled foreign workers when no local talent is available.

🚫 Not a system to sell visas to the highest bidder.

Tweet 5:
This scam affects everyone:
🧑‍💻 Immigrants are being robbed & trapped in fake jobs
🎓 American grads are being replaced
💼 The U.S. job market is being flooded with proxy hires, fake resumes & illegal middlemen

Tweet 6:
Most of these visa sellers are family-run firms or “body shops” operating between the U.S. and India.
They prey on desperate F-1, OPT, CPT, and H-1B hopefuls who will pay anything to stay in the U.S.

Tweet 7:
⚖️ Reminder:
🟥 Paying or collecting H-1B fees is a federal offense.
🟥 It’s against USCIS policy.
🟥 You can report these crimes anonymously.

Don’t normalize fraud just because “everyone’s doing it.”

Tweet 8:
✅ If you have the skills, a real U.S. employer will sponsor your H-1B legitimately and at no cost to you.
You don’t need to pay a broker. You need to find the right opportunity.

Tweet 9:
🛑 Over 90% of these shady shops are still charging money from visa seekers.
If you have proof—DM, screenshot, payment logs—let’s expose them.
Tag @USCIS, @DOL, @FTC. It’s time to clean this up.

Tweet 10:
This is bigger than immigration. It’s about justice, fairness & protecting the American workforce too.

Let’s fight this together.

H-1B visa scams exploit both foreign workers and U.S. employers, undermining the integrity of the immigration system. Here’s an overview of common scams, how to identify them, and steps to report suspicious activities.Wasden+3Wikipedia+3Enterprise Technology News and Analysis+3

🚨 Common H-1B Visa Scams

1. Fake Job Offers and Non-Existent Positions

Some staffing firms submit H-1B petitions for jobs that don’t exist, aiming to secure visas and later place workers elsewhere. In a notable case, Nanosemantics Inc. fabricated job offers to obtain visas, leading to legal consequences for its founders.Reddit+3Wasden+3Enterprise Technology News and Analysis+3

2. Multiple Lottery Entries via Collusion

Companies may collude to submit multiple H-1B registrations for the same individual to increase selection chances. USCIS has identified such practices as fraudulent, leading to investigations and potential penalties.Reddit+3Mayer Brown+3AP News+3

3. Falsified Credentials and Interview Impersonation

Some applicants present fake resumes or have others impersonate them during interviews. Investigations have uncovered instances where individuals with fabricated qualifications were hired for technical roles.Times Union

4. Wage Theft and ‘Benching’

Employers might underpay H-1B workers or place them on unpaid leave (“benching”) without assignments, violating visa terms and labor laws.Enterprise Technology News and Analysis+1Wikipedia+1

5. Advance-Fee Scams

Scammers may offer job placements or visa sponsorships in exchange for upfront fees, then disappear without providing services. Legitimate employers do not charge candidates for job offers or visa sponsorship.

🛑 Warning Signs of H-1B Scams

  • Job postings lacking clear employer information or requiring upfront payments.

  • Requests to bring original documents to interviews without valid reasons.

  • Unrealistic job offers with high salaries and minimal qualifications.

  • Employers unwilling to provide official documentation or verify their credentials.Nationaljurist

Fact Check: Is H-1B Designed to Replace Americans?

Claim: “H-1B cannot be reformed because Congress designed it to replace Americans with cheap foreign workers.”

🔎 Reality:

Original Purpose: The H-1B visa was established to help U.S. employers fill temporary shortages of highly skilled workers, particularly in fields like engineering, IT, science, and medicine. It was not explicitly designed to replace Americans.

Intent vs. Practice: Intent: To supplement the U.S. workforce when qualified American workers aren’t available.
Practice: Critics rightly point out H-1B has been abused by some employers and outsourcing firms to reduce costs, displace U.S. workers, or drive down wages.
Documented cases exist where American workers were forced to train H-1B replacements—e.g. Disney (2015), Southern California Edison (2015).

Cost Factor: H-1B workers often earn less than market rates in some industries. While the Department of Labor sets “prevailing wage” requirements, enforcement remains inconsistent.

Reform Attempts: Congress has repeatedly introduced bills to restrict outsourcing firms, increase wage requirements, and prioritize truly high-skilled workers. However, lobbying and political gridlock have blocked significant reforms.

USCIS & Government Revenue: Important Context: USCIS and the U.S. government rely heavily on revenue from H-1B filing fees, extensions, premium processing fees, green card applications, and more. These fees fund significant portions of USCIS operations, helping keep other immigration services running. Bottom Line: Until the government finds alternative revenue streams, a complete shutdown of the H-1B program remains unlikely—even amid calls for reform.

Verdict: The H-1B program wasn’t originally designed solely to replace Americans. However, in practice, loopholes have enabled misuse, resulting in job displacement and wage depression in certain sectors. Reform is possible—but politically and economically complex.

Three Types of H-1B Realities in the U.S. Workforce

Type One: U.S. client companies hiring Full-Time Employees (FTEs) — sometimes purely on merit, but in many cases also influenced by caste-based networks among hiring managers.

Type Two: An American follower who worked in the immigration departments of Indian outsourcing companies told me: “Roughly 90% of H-1B petitions filed by these firms involve candidates who aren’t truly qualified, yet they still manage to get visas.” This reflects how some outsourcing firms flood the system with questionable filings.

Type Three: A recruiter recently shared this insight: “H-1B has shifted from being employer-driven to employee-driven.” In this context, “employers” often means the countless H-1B desi consultancies (a.k.a. bodyshops) in the U.S., many owned by individuals who are now Green Card holders or U.S. citizens. These firms aggressively market H-1B sponsorship as a product to workers, not necessarily because client demand exists.

Bottom Line: The H-1B landscape is no longer a simple matter of employers seeking foreign talent for genuine skill gaps. It’s a complex ecosystem where networks, profit motives, and sometimes questionable practices all collide.

TYPES OF H-1B EMPLOYERS IN USA-How to Cheat America- H1B- Voice of the Indian Worker

Systematically We can write theory:
Types of Companies in USA (I am not talking about these)
1) Individual/sole proprietor or single-member LLC
2) C Corporation (Like Private Limited in India)
3) S Corporation
4) Partnership
5) Trust/estate
6) Limited liability Company (LLC) (Like Limited/Public Limited)
Now Types of H1B Employers in USA:
1) Have Job – Need Candidate – Free Visa – After Job – Kick Out After Project(Data Inc/Bank of America client) Still Gita recruiter told me over the phone she recovered $7 per hr for h1b fees+ bench pay. Data Inc Employees told  me in BOA at New Jersey that Data Inc collected money for bench but they never on bench and they did not return the money.
Data Inc h1bs many become FT to bank of America Pennington NJ.
Reason is simple; hiring managers are Indians.
2) Have Job – Need Candidate – Paid Visa – After Job – New Job (SoftlabNA, MA H2C HINDU CONVERTED CHRISTIAN person’s company  model)
3) No Job – Candidate Needed – Paid Visa – Place Candidate – After Contract Marketing For New Job
4) No Job – Candidate – Paid Visa – Bad Market – New Skill Training Provided – Placed
5) No Job – No Client – Candidate – Paid Visa – Poor Skills – Skill Upgrade – Proxy – On Job Support – God Father
6) No Job – Candidate – Paid Visa – Bad Market/Poor Skills – No support – No Bench Pay – HELL
7) No Job – Candidate – Paid Visa – Caring/Friendly Monitoring Marketing – Suggestions – Still Not Placing Warning – Bench Pay By Candidate to Save Visa.

List goes on!
RK on f1, got H1B doing F1 20+ placements in a month+ and Subbarao is doing proxy for him/his company F1s. Both boys and girls.
RK running LLC on his siblings  name to place people.
Once he gets GC, he will become another 3i or Data Inc or SoftlabsNA.
I suspect strongly that these Indian Incs molest female f1/h1bs/h4 eads etc.
Nobody speaks because they lose project/h1b/gc.
So keep quite and suffer is the policy.
Daily at least two F1/opt/cpts get placed and so Subbarao gets $1000 to $2000 cash.
This is one or majority followed model.
Inflow is very high (f1/h1b/ h4 eads) etc so these guys lure them to place.
Nobody cares about any laws here is the bottom-line tragedy in my research.
Ashwin, Anil, 3i, Data Inc, SoftlabsNA…..millions of Indian incs follow or fit in the above 7 models.
Some pay 50% salary here and rest in India to avoid taxes to USA govt.
Example; LCA or prevailing wage is $65,000 in Ohio for h1b, bank pays $135,000 to H1b petitioner through Prime vendor and h1b petitioner pay only $65K here and rest can pay in India to avoid showing it to USA.

Desi or Indian H-1B Consultancies aka Bodyshops aka Vendors aka Vultures aka Human Trafficking Agencies.

My research on this topic have started sometime in 1990s in Ameerpet of Hyderabad India. I have seen people without BTECH degree going to USA on Mainframe by learning the spelling of COBOL in English and boarded the flights. I know something is fishy or wrong in both in India and USA but not sure of 100% of it unless I have landed here and started digging into it. Initially I thought that they are doing it for easy money but I was wrong. They are doing it for their caste people to bring in, second, charge money for other caste people, may file H-1B or may not file and change consultancies names either in India or USA. Later on, it is very interesting to know that they are becoming not only owners of real estate in India but also producers of Film Makers.

I do write the content that is received from my followers/fans/subscribers. I am NOT defaming any one in particular.

The H-1B is a temporary (non-immigrant) visa category that allows employers to file petition for highly educated foreign professionals to work in “specialty occupations” that require at least a bachelor’s degree or the equivalent. – Internet.

This is the company who typically we with H1B visas work for. These companies sponsor our H1B Visa and also Green Cards. A consultancy can be a vendor if they are big. Also it can be an implementer too. – Internet

Filing Fees: According to the Immigration and Nationality Act and federal regulations, each of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services’ (USCIS) fees associated with an H-1B filing must be paid by the employer and cannot be borne by the H-1B employee – Internet.

It all started at a restaurant in Richmond, when the owner of the company met by giving all sorts of promises about many jobs in Richmond and Capitalone. The offer was nice, no h1b transfer fees. immediate job, etc. I was able to find job myself in DC area and he initiated the h1b transfer and after 2 months my project ended. They do not have any marketing team and had trouble finding another job. Started saying h1b has to be withdrawn etc etc.
Thank god I found another project and moved and got my h1b approved as well. but I moved to another company immediately after my h1b approved.

🛑 H-1B Salary Scam & Visa Abuse – Anonymous Testimony 🛑

I’m sharing my experience to help others avoid visa exploitation. Please read and share.

In 2018, I worked for a consulting company (body shop) in the U.S. For over 3 months, I didn’t get paid. When I asked for my salary, I was threatened and verbally abused. Sadly, this wasn’t a one-time case—this is a pattern that still continues in 2024–25.

❗ Scam Model (Still Being Used Today):

🔹 50/50 Pay Scam
Told I’d get 50% W2 + 50% “bonus” (never paid, never written).
🔹 Fake Interviews
They train H4 spouses & conduct proxy interviews to secure client projects.
🔹 Remote Access Fraud
Laptops given in the U.S. are controlled by freelancers in India.
🔹 Multiple Job Placements
Some are placed in 2–4 jobs simultaneously using fake resumes.
🔹 No Real Boss
The real owners are full-time in big Indian IT firms, while brokers threaten workers.

💥 Red Flags to Watch:

  • No written salary agreements

  • “Bonus” payments discussed only verbally

  • Threats or delay when asking for pay

  • Fake documents or multiple resume versions

  • No direct access to your end-client or HR

✅ What You Can Do:

🔁 Please share this with friends in the H-1B / F-1 / H4EAD community. Let’s spread awareness and stop this exploitation. 💥

🚨 Another real victim of the Desi consulting circus in the U.S. H4 EAD, working hard, trying to go full-time with a legit U.S. client — but trapped in a web of layers, threats, and fake contracts. Let me break it down 👇 She’s working in Chicago for a big-name client @abbvie through a typical Desi setup: Client → Vendor → Employer → Her She never signed a non-compete. But now, when the client wants to hire her full-time, her shady employer — Lorsiv Technologies Inc. — starts threatening legal action. 👉 She asked: “Show me the agreement I supposedly signed.” 👉 They say: “You should already have it.” 👉 She checks: Nothing. Not a single signature. But they still say she’s bound by a 12-month no-hire clause. From a contract she never signed. 🤯 And when she tried to clear things up with the vendor (because they’d be listed as her “employer” in the client’s system), her employer hits her with a nasty email: “It’s illegal to talk to vendors or clients. You’ll face legal trouble.” “We won’t allow our consultants to pursue this.” “We’ll take legal action.” Wait, what?! A legal threat… for trying to get hired legally?! That’s how these Desi layers work: fake contracts, emotional blackmail, caste network hiring, and intimidation. And here’s the kicker: Her employer took PPP loan money too — reportedly one of those “paper companies” running fake payrolls while scamming both the U.S. government and immigrant workers. She’s stressed, confused, and literally begging for help — trying to do everything by the book. No rudeness. No drama. Just asking for a fair shot. Her questions are simple: Can they block me with a contract I never signed? What are my rights if they keep refusing to give me a copy? Can I go legal without risking my current job or huge expenses? Is this even lawful? She’s even scared to say the client name out loud — that’s how broken this system is. 👉 This is not just one story. This is happening to hundreds of Desi women on H4 EADs — quietly working, being exploited, and too afraid to speak up. 👎 They’re hired by caste. 👎 Paid through layers. 👎 Trapped in fake agreements. 👎 Threatened when they try to leave. We talk about “diversity” in tech, but this is what’s going on behind the scenes. 🔗 And if you’re working for firms like Lorsiv, Dynamic Enterprise Solutions Inc., or any vendor doing these games — keep your emails, document everything, and know this: You’re not alone. And you’re not powerless. #H1BScam #H4EAD #DesiLayers #WorkplaceAbuse #ImmigrationReform #KumarExclusive #TeluguWomenVoices Bottom-line, their argument is, lifetime she has to work through these two layers while working with the USA client. Mr. Swaminathan Narasimhan (Swami) • Senior Account Manager Ness USA, Inc 160 Technology Drive Canonsburg PA 15317 argued with me the same while I worked for a PANEDDS Project in PA via Deloitte. Whenever you submit your resume to Deloitte, you must give it to NESS. No Indian vendors respect USA’s EEOC/DOL/IRS/USCIS/ICE rules. 🇮🇳🇺🇸 The Layer Racket That Robs H-1B Workers Blind – Since the 90s Consulting? Nah. It’s Organized Pay Theft.

Throwback to 1990s USA 🇺🇸 – How the Layer Game Began in IT Contracts

Back then, clients started allowing one extra layer between them and the contractor. They gave it fancy names like: 👉 Prime Vendor (PV) 👉 Implementation Partner 👉 Gatekeeper

But the truth? These middlemen were quietly eating $65–$85/hour off every contractor’s back.
Then came the Indian outsourcing firms — their Delivery Managers added another layer, and HR snuck in one more. That’s $25/hour gone just like that.

The worst part? H-1B petitioner consultancies began inserting spouse companies, friend-owned LLCs, and shell firms as fake layers — just to steal from their own H-1B employees’ paychecks in the name of “consulting business.”

The result? 🚨 Up to 7 illegal layers between the actual client and the H-1B worker.

According to USCIS, any party between the Prime Vendor and the actual H-1B employer is illegal, unethical, and unlawful — and it undermines Prevailing Wages (PW).

We are the best at this — the so-called “ghanta” or pass-through consultancies, the commission agents.

From TCS (which many Americans jokingly call “Toilet Cleaning Services”) to hundreds of Telugu caste-based bodyshops that began in the 1990s and continue today — they’ve mastered the art of poaching American jobs and skimming $25–$85 per hour from contractors’ pay like vultures.

I know this because I’ve been tracking these vultures from Ameerpet to America, from the 1990s to 2025 — and since the internet became accessible, I’ve been writing about them since 2009.
🔗 Read more here

If you don’t understand the comparison — imagine how a cab driver in Mumbai’s Panvel earns a commission for dropping a client at a pimp’s house. That’s exactly how these Indian consultancies operate — in India, the U.S., or anywhere else.

I don’t even like calling them “companies.”
The right word is “consultancies” — whether it’s Accenture, Cognizant, Infosys, Wipro, or caste-based H-1B bodyshops in the U.S.

👉 This is our true face — and that’s why we fail to compete in the international, product-based tech market.

Proxy Mafia Indian hiring managers used to send me videos like this to upload on my channel. I asked them, “Why didn’t you try hiring Americans in the first place?” Secondly, the moment I uploaded the video, the mafia attacked me. By “mafia,” I mean Indian hiring managers who have a nexus with proxy candidates sitting in the “hot seat.” The candidates behind the hot seat are lip-sync masters — sometimes even using female voice impersonations. These vendors supplied the criminals behind this proxy racket. Proxy Hiring Chain Candidate A attends the interview. Candidate B reports to the onsite job. Candidate C actually performs the work. Breakdown: Candidate A = Telugu Candidate B & C = Tamilians Vendors = People from all Indian language groups (Hindi, Tamil, Gujarati, Punjabi, Telugu, etc.) Each person makes around $2,000 per month[ proxy job support] or per interview call (video), using multiple bank accounts under different names — and mostly dealing in cash transactions. The proxy mafia has become so filthy rich that they no longer know what to do with the money earned through these illegal means. 🔗 Example video reference https://x.com/RealWaKhan/status/1582093540384915456?t=jB836VT_nKGHygXM_4neEQ&s=19 #H1B #ProxyInterviews #ITFraud #KumarExclusive – Kumar Exclusive 🇮🇳🇺🇸

Hi Kumar garu,

I’ve been following your channel for a long time and recently emailed you about a serious H-1B visa fraud case involving a relative. My visa was stamped in 2023 at the Hyderabad consulate, but ever since then, he kept delaying my travel with excuses like “no jobs in the U.S.” or “strict immigration checks at port of entry.”

After nearly 2½ years, I realized he never marketed my profile or arranged a real project. The so-called client letter was fake, and the entire process was just a way to collect money. I ended up paying about 10,000 United States Dollar equals ₹ 887,853.50 Indian Rupee via bank transfer and the rest handed to his father-in-law. Sadly, this person is based in Dallas, Texas, and his aunt (his wife’s mother) also deceived my wife and me, wasting years of our lives.

It’s heartbreaking to see Telugu “body shops” in the U.S. cheating their own relatives in the name of H-1B sponsorship. Just imagine — someone’s mother’s sister’s daughter paid $10,000 = ₹887,853.50 Indian Rupee to her so-called “uncle” in Dallas, believing he would help her come to America. This level of betrayal within families is tragic and shameful.

He Splits that amount as
Attorney fees $3,000 ₹266,356.05
Client Letter $2,500 ₹221,963.38
H-1B Fees for USCIS $4,500₹399,534.08

In Chantilly, a Telugu consultancy took everyone’s payroll under its control.
When many employees asked for their pay, the owner said, “You still owe $30,000,” and refused to pay them.
I reported this to the FBI — several victims later died by suicide due to the pressure.

They gave me only $22 per hour on H-1B, even though the vendor confirmed I was billed at $80 per hour.
I worked hard and saved about $10,000, but in September, they took even that away, saying my salary didn’t match the LCA.
Since coming to the USA, I’ve been treated like a slave by him.
He now operates from Texas.

He also exploits women — if a woman resists, they threaten her and say she must “cooperate” to keep her job.

Please expose these fake Telugu consultancies — they blackmail employees for $30,000, and some victims end their lives after returning to India due to the unbearable stress.

One day, this Telugu mafia in America will be caught.

🔥 From 1980s Mumbai Exam Scams to 2020s H-1B Proxy Interviews — How India Exported the Fake Job Industry 🇮🇳➡️🇺🇸💻 | #KumarExclusive

  • 1980s → Proxy exams (SAT, GRE, TOEFL) in India

  • 1990s → Proxy telephone interviews (mainframe/Y2K era)

  • 2000s onward → Organized “proxy as a service” industry in IT hiring

🕰️ Timeline: Origins of Proxy Exams & Interviews

1️⃣ 1970s–1980s: Proxy Testing in India (Academic Start)

  • The earliest recorded cases of proxy exam takers in India appeared during the 1980s, particularly around Mumbai and Delhi, when standardized foreign tests like SAT, GRE, and TOEFL began gaining popularity among students aspiring for U.S. admissions.

  • Several small-time agents offered “test substitutes” — someone would take the exam on behalf of the real candidate for a fee.

  • Newspapers like The Times of India and Indian Express reported isolated cases in the late 1980s involving forged IDs for U.S. entrance tests in Mumbai.

  • This was before biometric verification or computer-based testing — paper-based exams made it easier to impersonate someone.

2️⃣ 1990s: Mainframe & IT Boom — The Birth of “Proxy Interviews”

  • During the mid to late 1990s, when the Y2K / Mainframe migration wave began, thousands of Indian IT workers were being placed in U.S. jobs by consultancies in Hyderabad, Chennai, and Bangalore.

  • U.S. clients often conducted telephone interviews (landline-based), which opened the door for consultancies to substitute skilled speakers who could pass technical questions on behalf of unqualified candidates.

  • This became a standard underground practice in some offshore recruitment circles — an “open secret” in parts of the H-1B bodyshop ecosystem.

3️⃣ 2000s: Widespread in Outsourcing & Remote Support

  • By the 2000s, with VoIP and early Skype, proxy interviews became more refined.

  • Some consultancies started offering “end-to-end services” — creating fake résumés, training candidates, and arranging a proxy expert for the client call.

  • Payments typically ranged from $500–$2,000 per successful interview, with ongoing monthly “support” charges if the candidate got placed.

4️⃣ 2010s–2020s: Industrialization of Proxy Economy

  • After Day-1 CPT, OPT, and staffing consultancies expanded in the U.S., the model matured into a full-scale underground business.

  • Proxies used Bluetooth earbuds, remote desktops, and even deepfake video setups to impersonate candidates.

  • U.S. Department of Justice and DHS have occasionally prosecuted such cases (for example, 2019 NJ proxy testing ring, 2022 Georgia testing fraud).

  • By the 2020s, this proxy ecosystem connected offshore trainers in India with onshore H-1B/L-1/OPT networks — a transnational industry worth millions.

A friend told me that back in 2011 in Edison, NJ, his acquaintance moved to Dallas, Texas after receiving a Green Card.
Dallas has become a hub for Telugu-run scams, he said — this man reportedly attends job interviews on behalf of all his employees.

All his “employees” are actually cab drivers from Bangladesh and Pakistan, whom he trains and places in BA and QA roles.

After receiving a tip from a friend, I tried contacting him to record the call, but he refused to answer any of my calls.

Many Indian women are also involved in these proxy interview scams, earning around $2,000 per interview and another $2,000 per month for ongoing proxy support.

Reports from WhatsApp groups suggest that this practice is especially common among some Tamilian networks in Tamil Nadu, India, and in the USA.

⚠️ Negative / Concerning reviews & legal issues

  • On Glassdoor:

    • A review dated May 12, 2025: “Super toxic environment, be prepared to yield up and be badly treated, almost daily by the leadership team … you need to be a ‘YES’ man without an opinion to be successful.” Glassdoor+1

    • Another review (1.0 star) said: “Everything about Visionsoft is a lie … they have product called haneya which does not work clients are cheated by Anji Reddy.. salaries are not paid at all , employee signatures are forged by Anji Reddy and a lot of law suites are against him.” Glassdoor

  • Legal document: There appears to be a court‐filing involving Anji Reddy and VisionSoft:

    • In a U.S. District Court case (Case 3:16-cv-05381–MAS-TJB) there is mention of “one of Anji Reddy, and one of Vision Soft” in the context of a settlement agreement and payment schedule. GovInfo

    • Without diving deeper, the document suggests Reddy agreed to a settlement with specific terms (non-compete, payment schedule, etc). That doesn’t automatically mean fraud, but it does indicate at least one legal dispute.

  • On MyVisaJobs: For “VisionSoft Consulting, Inc.”, the site states: “Reviews: Visionsoft Consulting has not been reviewed by any employees or job applicants.” MyVisaJobs

    • That suggests a lack of publicly posted, verified employee reviews in that segment (though other review sites do have input).

  • Among negative reviews there are claims of: late or no payment, toxic management, misleading product claims, pressure on employees, “cheating” behaviour. (Again, these are reviews and not verified judgments.)

    🚨 H-1B Vendor Chain Alert | VisionSoft & Middle-Layer Deals?

A follower shared a screenshot from public H-1B data showing VisionSoft Inc. filings and commented:

“What you want to bet that ‘Reddy Infosys’ is the same guy selling his employees to VisionSoft at a high rate?”

While the data confirms VisionSoft has filed multiple H-1B petitions, the rest remains speculative and unverified.
Such chains—where staffing firms allegedly “lease” H-1B workers—have long raised compliance red flags under U.S. DOL and USCIS rules.

    #H1B #VisaFraud #KumarExclusive

A follower shared this old email from 2016:

“A consultancy in Herndon, VA (Largeton Inc) asked me to pay $4,600 for H-1B processing. Friends said this is normal. Should I proceed?”

My same reply then & now:
Never pay an employer, consultancy, or agent for H-1B sponsorship.
Even so-called ‘security deposits’ are illegal under DOL/USCIS rules.
✔️ Genuine employers NEVER ask money to file an H-1B.

    Another follower later wrote:

“I couldn’t find even one consultancy offering H-1B for free. Everyone demands money. It’s all about collection — $5,000 to $20,000 or more.”

This is exactly why so many students, F-1s, and workers get trapped into fake promises, kickbacks, and immigration violations.

🛑 If someone asks money for an H-1B — walk away. Report if needed.

Many individuals in Texas—especially in the Dallas area—have been reported to be working 5 or more illegal jobs simultaneously through consultancy networks. Some are not leaving their existing jobs and are applying for additional ones as well. This creates a serious compliance and legal risk for everyone involved.

🚨 H-1B Fraud Reporting — For Project Firewall (Follower Submission)
    (Shared anonymously for public-interest reporting)

*“Thank you for the risks you’re taking to expose immigration fraud.
I heard about Project Firewall and the deep-vetting they’re starting. I want USCIS to add one more serious issue to their checks, but I don’t know how or where to report it. Please post anonymously.”

1️⃣ The Issue: Multiple Illegal Jobs on One H-1B

USCIS is currently focusing on low-salary H-1Bs, but the real problem nobody is addressing is:

👉 Many people, especially in Telugu/caste-based consultancy mafia groups, are doing 4+ projects on a single H-1B.
👉 Husband + wife together = 6–8 stolen jobs per family.
👉 I personally know many people doing this.

    H-1B rules limit employment to 40 hours/week.
How can someone do 4–8 jobs? It’s impossible.

2️⃣ Fake “High Salary = Highly Skilled” Scam

Consultancies artificially show $180K–$220K salaries to make workers look “highly skilled,”
but the money really comes from multiple illegal client projects.

USCIS sees one high salary → assumes everything is legal.

3️⃣ What Project Firewall Should Check

Since Project Firewall + IRS + DHS are working together, they should verify:

    ✔️ All end-client letters
✔️ End clients should send letters directly to USCIS
✔️ Salary must come from one legitimate end client
    ✔️ Check non-compete violations
✔️ Cross-check 1099/W-2 earnings to detect multiple employers

    4️⃣ Illegal Dual-Full-Time Jobs

    Some people:

    • Keep their old H-1B job

    • File a new H-1B at another company

    • Work two full-time jobs

    • Claim “it’s legal”

This is only legal with a proper concurrent H-1B filing
but most do NOT file concurrent petitions,
and the old employer doesn’t even know the worker is still there.

5️⃣ Suggested Action for USCIS / Firewall Team

If USCIS reviews the past 4 years of returns + payroll + client letters,
most fraudulent profiles will be removed and genuine talent will finally get justice.

    6️⃣ Follower’s Request

“I’m not on social media due to harassment.
Please tell me how I can report this.
If needed, you may also report this anonymously to authorities.
Tag USCIS, ICE, DOL, IRS, and DOJ.”

    🚨 H-1B FRAUD ALERT — Project Firewall
(Allegations shared anonymously by a follower)

    • Many H-1Bs in consultancy networks doing 4–8 illegal projects
    • Fake “$200K salary” created by combining money from multiple clients
    • Dual full-time jobs without concurrent H-1B filings
    • Families effectively stealing 6–8 American jobs
    • USCIS should verify:
    – end-client letters
    – direct client confirmation
    – payroll → one client only
    – IRS records
    – non-compete violations

Follower asks where to report anonymously. Sharing for awareness only.

Thanks, Kumar garu, for posting this.
I realized that Americans do not understand caste dynamics. But if they start cracking down based on the message you posted, automatically all caste-based and Telugu consultancies will be exposed.

Although I am totally against students doing small part-time jobs illegally, they do not harm the job market as much as people doing multiple full-time jobs on H-1B.

Once these consultancies are caught, there should also be an audit for money laundering — checking which shell companies they own and how money is being transferred to overseas accounts to purchase real estate.

There is someone in my company who told me that some of the jobs she does are not on paper — the U.S. salary is sent directly to India. If they take that Twitter post and this email seriously, almost 80% of the fraud would disappear.

    H-1Bs of Indian Incs —

    🔵 1. Pay H-1B fees of $10,000.

🔵 2. Pay Green Card fees plus $50,000 non-refundable fixed deposits to the Indian bodyshop (“pimp owner”).

🔵 3. Come to the USA at their own expense.

    🔵 4. 25 H-1Bs packed into one bedroom apartment.

🔵 5. “Get your customer, get your pay” concept.

🔵 6. If illegal brokers steal money, you must pay attorney fees to fight with prime vendors.

🔵 7. No paid vacations, no leave, no relocation, no per diem — nothing.

🔵 8. If you are a female and cannot afford H-1B or GC fees, you may be forced to sleep with the pimp owner.

🔵 9. If you are on OPT/EAD looking for H-1B, you may be treated as a sex slave by the pimp owner.

🔵 10. Change your project whenever the BDM (recruiter) demands it.

🔵 11. No prevailing wages, no DOL-compliant LCA wages; you receive cash if the owner feels like giving it.

🔵 12. No paychecks, no W-2s; if you ask, they give fake W-2s and fake paychecks.

🔵 13. The irony is that all these pimp owners once came through the H-1B boat themselves, yet now exploit others.

🔵 14. They can threaten or harm anyone who goes against them or speaks out.

🔵 15. They collect $3,000 attorney fees for H-1B filing and never return it — even if the H-1B is not picked or they fire you.

🔵 16. “Do not report, do not speak, do not post videos on YouTube” — the rule enforced by the pimp owners.

🔵 17. Pimp owners force workers to attend caste-based meetings like TANA (Chowdarys), ATA (Reddys/Vysyas), Brahmins, Dalits, or Hindu-Converted-Christian groups — and demand registration fees and promotion.

🔵 18. AMWAY involvement encouraged or forced.

🔵 19. Visit any Indian-run guest house to see this system in action.

H-1B Deposit Scam Emails from “Principle Infotech” — 2015 Evidence Shared by a Follower

    ⚠️ Disclaimer (Legally Safe):

This post is based on documents, emails, and screenshots shared by a follower, along with publicly available information.
I am not accusing any individual or company of wrongdoing beyond what is shown in the follower-submitted material.
Everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
My intention is public awareness to help Americans and honest immigrants understand how H-1B fee-collection abuses reportedly operated in past years.

    🧵 Post (Rewrite):

A follower sent me these emails + deposit forms from 2015, allegedly from “Principle Infotech”, asking H-1B aspirants to deposit $3,800 into U.S. and India bank accounts before filing their petition.

The email subject line was: “Deposit Details”
    Sender: Anusmitha Surabhi – principleit.us

    They asked candidates to submit:

    • Passport

    • I-20

    • OPT card

    • Degree transcripts

    • Driver’s license

    • Full questionnaire forms

    • And then:
👉 “Please deposit $3,800 as soon as possible.”

They claimed the deposit would be refunded after:
    1️⃣ The petition was selected
2️⃣ The candidate completed their first project

    Attached forms even included:

    • Bank of America account number

    • ICICI Bank India account details

    • A full H-1B Employee Information Sheet titled “Alien Employee Form”

This follower says “many aspirants were asked to deposit money the same way.”

These are the types of practices Americans, USCIS, and lawmakers need to understand — how fee-collection, coercion, and exploitation were normalized in the H-1B ecosystem for years.

Again — this is follower-submitted evidence from 2015 for awareness.
